Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

For the "Spaghetti":

  • 300g spaghetti squash, cooked and shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Bolognese Sauce:

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes on low heat.
  4. Adjust seasoning to taste. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of water.

"Spaghetti" (Spaghetti Squash):

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the cut sides and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the squash, cut side down, on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 30-40 minutes or until the flesh easily shreds into "spaghetti" strands with a fork.

Assembling the Meal:

  1. Shred the spaghetti squash into "spaghetti" strands using a fork.
  2. Place a generous portion of the shredded spaghetti squash on a plate.
  3. Top with the rich Bolognese sauce.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
